We got to spend a night in Sturgeon Bay at a great resort with a pool and awesome kids play area. Here is a shot of Mason and Megan after playing hard in the ball pit and on the climbing equipment. You can see how red Mason's face is and the sweat glistening on Megan's.

Mason has blossomed into such a wonderful big brother. As we were walking back to our room from the play area, he, on his own, grabbed her hand and led her to the room. It was so sweet, I couldn't resist capturing it on film.

The next morning, you can see everyone had bright smiles on their faces (thanks to it being a 2 bedroom suite where everyone had their own room to sleep in:)

Since attending Upwards Basketball a few months ago, Mason has really taken to playing basketball outside. We don't have a hoop but he loves to dribble up and down the driveway and sometimes he and daddy or I play a little one on one trying to keep the ball away from each other. Mason always calls me on my double dribbling or my traveling. Man - it was easier when he didn't know the rules:)

Here Mason was showing me where he'd like to build a fort in our yard - underneath some pine trees in the front.
Megan loves to climb up the swing set and go down the slide by herself. She has no fear of falling even though Mom is always concerned.

This year was David's 3rd anniversary on May 1st. We celebrated his memory by going to the cemetery as a family and having a picnic on the grass near his stone. Even though the loss is still there and painful, I can't help but look back over the three years and see how far God has brought us and the many blessings we have received. It is a great reminder that no matter what trial God brings you to, He is there to bring you through it and to make you a better person in the process.
As I close out this post, I am sitting here listening to Mason sing "He Knows My Name" in the background while he eats lunch. What an awesome day!
